Tommy Weschler Inducted Into AAM Hall of Fame 2005

Tommy Weschler was inducted into the AAM Hall of Fame for 2005 at the 2006 AAM Winter Conference because of his continuous dedication to the AAM since joining the association in 1992. Tommy is past president of the AAM and has served as a mentor to many auctioneers throughout his auction career. Other members describe Tommy as having proved his ability to lead and he always goes beyond the call of duty. He takes great pride in the auction business always striving for the professional image and never does anything for the association as self-promotion, always humble and a true gentleman. His accomplishments as president were enormous making sure that the association was in the best of interest. You could always count on Tommy for extra help and he is a true friend to all of us.

What made this award extra special was that not only was his wife, Terry, present, but also their 5 children, spouses, and grandchildren to watch him receive this honor. It may look like Tommy and Terry have a large family, but remember this: Tommy was 1 of 14 children. Wow…that makes his family in these pictures look small. Tommy and Terry are dressed in Hawaiian clothing because the 2006 Conference theme was “Island” and along with many other AAM members, they were great participants.

It was a great time watching Tommy receive this honor and getting a chance to meet his wonderful family. A special thanks to Tommy for his continued efforts with the AAM. He has always been just an email or phone call away to try and help and we all really appreciate it.

Tommy’s Thank You

I would like to thank the membership for the great honor of
being inducted into the Auctioneers Association of
Maryland's Hall Of Fame. As I am added to the great list of
past inductees I am reminded not only of where we are
headed, but where we have been.
